About Me:

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience providing counseling to both adults and teens.

My professional goal is to provide effective and ethical counseling treatment to individuals struggling with various life issues and mental health diagnoses.

My focus when working with clients is to develop a supportive, trusting and safe environment where emotions, thoughts, experiences and difficulties can be openly shared, processed and resolved.

In my work towards these goals, I earned a PhD in Counselor Education at the University at Buffalo in 2020, where I extensively studied the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the role of avoidance on distress.

Additionally, I served as an instructor in the Psychology Department at Canisius University from 2011until 2024, where I taught courses on counseling theory and techniques, substance use disorders, as well as adverse childhood experiences and social determinants of health.
